INNERPOWER: In this program, there are 6 skills. The first 4 help kids understand and develop their inner, core values and the last 2 teach them how to make good decisions with those values and how to say no to peer pressure.

***All workshops include practicing MINDFULNESS which calms the mind and body. Learning about how our mind works and using mindfulness practices together creates positive and lasting changes.

Here are the details of each skill:

1. Self-Responsibility..How to take 100% responsibility for our own life and how that gives us ultimate power.

2. Integrity…. They will learn that integrity means doing the right thing even when no one else is looking.

3. Respect…”Make Your Mark With The Golden Rule”…Every time we are with someone we leave a “mark” depending on how we treat them.

4. Self-Respect…”My mark on me”…Having self-respect means giving ourselves a “gold heart.” Choosing self-respect builds powerful self-esteem.

5. Decision Making-What do I choose for me… provides a platform for them to make a decision about many important issues.

6. Peer Pressure-…Knowing what we stand for, choosing what we want for ourselves and learning how to say “no” to peer pressure and “yes” to ourselves is critical for standing against negative peer pressure.

In the workshop, I provide…

-Powerful stories where kids don’t feel lectured. They easily relate to the characters and lessons the characters go through, as well as the practical skills they can practice to become the best version of themselves.

-We have discussions about the stories and how they can relate that to themselves.

-They receive a full bound workbook and worksheets to keep practicing at home.

-They receive a take home sheet so that you (the Parent/care giver) can continue the conversation at home.

-Different kinesthetic activity for each skill (they love that).

*I provide all materials (a bound workbook, Visual boards to support the skills , and all materials for each activity we do…one for each skill. All your child needs is a writing journal…any kind.
